Pistacia Vera

I like cakes, but I dont lurveee them... I went twice to Pistacia Vera on 3rd/german village. I bought a chocolate birthday cake for a friend on my first visit. I went again yesterday and got macaroons, pistachio cookie, fudge brownie thing and a fruit pie, which I never got to taste because SOMEONE ate it really really fast. humph. Each macaroon costs $ 1.25. Its pretty expensive and it's not the Best macaroons i've ever tasted. Anyways, here are some pics.

One of the joy working where I am right now is the freedom to be creative, while under minimal corporate restrain. That is something everything artist should appreciate. So , yes I am thankful for that, even though the downside is, I have to do stuff that is not connected to design at all, like cleaning the stairs, ironing ? ( i hardly iron mine)..., talking to the customer ( i dont feel comfortable talking to them , urgh )
Its all about give and take.

Ramblings

I just felt like writing about this group project that I did in school.
I don't normally like group projects but its very different with this group. A lot of good things are actually coming out of it.
First of all, it is the first time in my group project history ever, that we've managed to finish the project like a WEEK before it is due. The previous group project finished like hours before it was due, and the outcome was pretty disastrous. Anyways, we took photos today and I felt good about this project. Who knows? maybe we'll win something, a bronze position is good enough for me!

Hands down to JC!

It snowed 8 inches last week, and now you can barely see any snow. and then comes the tornado.
BUt look what comes after the tornado rain :  Rainbow!!!!

Genesis 9:12-16

"This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come. I have set my rainbow in my clouds, and it will be the sign of covenant between me and the earth. Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, I wil remember my covenant between me and  you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again be the waters become a flood that destroy all life. Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures, of everykind on earth"

Forget about the pot of gold, the covenant is so much better. Now i know I'll never die from huge flood.
So I was driving to school today, and traffic was bad, so I took the local route and boy am I glad to do that. Passed by North Market and stopped at this red light and holycow I saw a FULL SEMI CIRCLE RAINBOW!!!!. I NEVER GET TO SEE A FULL SEMI CIRCLE RAINBOW!!!!

Look ! Pretty pretty !

The other half,....and then below is what I composed of 2 of the pics.

Crazy week

Had a reallyyy bad week. Was sick for almost a week, bloody phelgm and all. Two HUGEEEE projects due almost at the same time, had to spend last week weekend's doing group project all day. To top it off, the internship. Took 15 hours of my week, and I have to sacrifice my friendship time with a certain someone. I am afraid I am losing it. Maybe this is not worth it at all. SIGH.

I love chestnuts. Especially the roasted ones. They're the inspiration for the blog's name. :)
